Evaverse: The AAA Immersive NFT Game we Have Always Wanted

The Evaverse is a video game platform that seeks to bring the NFT and gaming community together through AAA gameplay experiences.

Unlike many other games on the blockchain gaming market, Evaverse offers a truly AAA gameplay experience unlike any other and a world-class social experience.

Currently, the AAA mainstream market is reluctant to adopt NFTs and Blockchain. Evaverse, on the other hand, is a breath of fresh air in that regard. Check out my interview with the Evaverse team below.

Thank you to the team over at Evaverse for the interview. You can check out the game here.

What is Evaverse?

Evaverse is a multiplayer video game platform designed to be the most enjoyable and immersive digital world for players to socialize and earn. The Evaverse game is designed to bring NFT and gaming communities together by offering AAA immersive gameplay for everyone.

The Evaverse is built for blockchain players, traditional gamers, and NFT collectors and is blending these communities by creating a world-class social experience for all.

Why did you create Evaverse, and what was your inspiration behind it?

From the very start, we wanted Evaverse to be a game-first project. The Evaverse first launched in August alongside the First Arrivals NFT collection. We firmly believe in a game-first development approach. Games should serve the community and bring value and joy to players beyond pure speculation. Players who buy into the Evaverse ecosystem won’t wait years for a fully developed playable game.

We strive to release playable counterparts to all our NFT content simultaneously and believe this should be the standard for NFT Play-to-Earn games. Thinking back on all the time and money I’ve spent on traditional games, having a way for the player to earn money on what they have invested became while creating a game that at the core is fun is the main inspiration behind the Evaverse.

Can you explain a bit about your play-to-earn model?

We currently have an in-game ticket system that is the precursor to our token launch. We wanted to get players earning as soon as possible while working and perfecting our Tokenomics to ensure sustainability for the $EVA token.

Tickets are earned by participating in our Hoverboard races, collecting in-game treasures, and placing in the top 10 of our daily leader board, with even more ways to come.

How do you see Evaverse sitting in the Metaverse?

From the start and for years to come, our goal is to make the Evaverse the most enjoyable and immersive digital world for our players. Whether they want to socialize or earn in our current minigames or ones to come, we strive to become one of if not the most enjoyable experiences within the Metaverse.

What sets Evaverse apart from other NFT games on the market?

As developers, we wanted to approach the space with a different approach. Gameplay fundamentals first, everything else second. We see a lot of projects that focus on other things first, but as developers and gamers, we wanted a playable product that not only we find fun, but the community does too.

This is extremely important to us as the communities ideas help shape a lot of the direction that the Evaverse takes, which we’re only able to listen to due to the solid foundations that were made.

How did you go about building Evaverse and implementing NFT integration?

As developers, we wanted to approach the space with a different approach. Gameplay fundamentals first, everything else second. We see a lot of projects that focus on other things first, but as developers and gamers, we wanted a playable product that not only we find fun, but the community does too.

This is extremely important to us as the communities ideas help shape a lot of the direction that the Evaverse takes, which we’re only able to listen to due to the solid foundations that were made.

Implementing NFT integration was something we had in mind since the start. Using the tried and tested ETH chain as a base, we knew we wanted to give our players ownership over their character.

Part of the idea of the Metaverse is decentralization. How are you putting fans in control of gameplay?

First and foremost, every item that a player can equip in the Evaverse is owned by the player, aside from loaning, allowing holders to let non-holders experience their NFTs free of charge. NFTs, at their core, give ownership to the person that holds it, meaning everything regarding their avatar, items, or pets belongs strictly to them.

This is important in our current ecosystem, with Hoverboard racing being our present-focused minigame. We provide a freeboard for people to test things out and get a feel for the game, but the boards part of our 10,000+ 1/1 unique ERC-721 Hoverboard collection make the game a lot more fun.

Later in the year, we’ll also be introducing the first sale of Lands, which will allow absolute ownership within the Evaverse. We will have more information on this later in Q4.

Do you think the Metaverse is the future of games?

Absolutely! I think it’s the logical next step. Over the years, gaming has continuously progressed by leaps and bounds, with the whole industry valued at $173.70 Billion. Massive publishers are generating hundreds of millions of dollars in microtransactions by players who have no actual ownership over what they have bought.

The Metaverse and the Evaverse allow players to own 100% of what they pay for. Whether that’s an EVA avatar, a hoverboard, or part of our future collections. The natural progression is owning what you buy in the gaming industry, which the Metaverse will help achieve.

And what excites you most about the Metaverse?

The potential. We’re always going to be coming up with new ideas, technologies, and solutions to a whole matter of situations we have never seen before. As we see technology increase, the boundaries we can push will continue further.

Every year, the ideas grow crazier and more insane, and even one day, when the technology is there for it, we could see thousands if not millions of players in an Oasis-Esque world experiencing a shared, synchronous experience.

What is the vision for Evaverse, any exciting future updates that fans should look out for in the future?

We have some exciting admin updates coming up, Including announcing our partnerships, company, and founding team. We’ll launch our $EVA token and play-to-earn economy early this year, which will occur alongside a massive marketing campaign.

Gameplay-wise, you can expect to see the launch of our second primary mode, Turtle Racing. This will give utility to the 5000 turtles we gave out as an airdrop to our holders. Adding on to this, the second half of the year will see the introduction of our Teams system. The long-term vision for the Evaverse is to build a competitive earning onramp where players can choose to compete at the highest tiers of competition within the EVA games of their choice.

The Eva-Games system will ultimately evolve into competitive team-based gameplay where players can self-organize into seasonal leagues and seasons to compete for scarce rewards. Players will form Team Charters (Guilds) and compete to outperform other Teams. Rewards for Team competitions will be much greater than solo play and require a higher initial investment to compete at the team level.

Our end goal vision is to create an Oasis-like world with a competitive earning onramp while allowing everybody something to do, whether competing or being casual.

Where can people play Evaverse and get involved?

The Evaverse is currently completely free-to-play-to-earn on steam right now.
