5 Gaming/Entertainment Startups Owning The Metaverse: Part 14

1. Codyfight

Codyfight is a GameFi metaverse enterprise that strives to create a new business model in the gaming space where different types of players can earn, create and engage in a game that pursues the conquest of AI as a core trait of its ecosystem. The game offers a brand new world of expression and creativity for different types of players like gamers, developers, artists, collectors, investors, community leaders, and others.

Based in Vilnius, Lithuania, Codyfight was founded in 2020 by Andrius Jaškauskas and Danas Girdauskas.

2. Balthazar

Based in Sydney, Australia, Balthazar was founded in 2021 by Peter N. and Bijan Abdollahi and is on a mission to empower the biggest community of gamers to create a self-sustaining, wealth-building ecosystem in the metaverse by being the largest Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) in the play-to-earn space. It’s a community-focused guild for gamers to access play-to-earn games with no upfront cost, supporting a fun and competitive team of players. It also launched a rent-to-earn feature where NFTs can be rented to Balthazar for scholars to use in games.

Balthazar supports the guild through social networks, educational resources, and training and development around gameplay and learning cryptocurrency investment.

3. GuildFi

GuildFi is the interconnected Web3 ecosystem of games, NFTs and communities with an aim to maximize players’ benefits and enable interoperability across the metaverse.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, GuildFi was founded in 2021 by Jarindr Thitadilaka. To date, the startup has raised a total of $6 million in funding over one round.

4. BovineVerse

Based in Singapore, BovineVerse is a new Fi+ metaverse platform in the era of Web3. Among the multiple parallel worlds in BovineVerse, the startup has successively released three creative and interesting games on chain and apply DAO governance to virtual social networks, crossing games and offering high flexibility. At the same time, players can own their bovine animals to socialize, adventure and create, building a diverse and colourful world together.

5. DeGame by L2Y

Another based in Singapore, L2Y was founded in 2021 by Lester Li and aims to build a GameFi platform called DeGame for P2E players to explore NFT games and track data.

As a metaverse hub, L2Y is a fun place for GameFi guilds, sponsorship providers, blockchain scholars, and other investment institutions. It also provides services including token analytics and tracking, research, gaming strategy, IGO and more.
